Born and raised in Paris, Marie is a third generation jewelry dealer. Her
interest in Russian art began as a teenager while living on the grounds of
Hillwood Museum in Washington, home of the late Marjorie Merriweather Post,
the grande dame of Imperial Russian art collectors in the West. Before
starting her own business in 1991, Marie headed Christie's Russian Department
in America for several years. While still in New York, in 1997 Marie opened her own store on East 56th
Street. Her collection of antique jewelry & Fabergé has also been exhibited
in retail venues on Fifth and Madison Avenues, in the New York Public Library
during its recent Romanov Show, and at the Nicholas and Alexandra Exhibition
Gift Shop in Wilmington Delaware. Today, Marie regularly exhibits at the New York Armory Antique Shows in
Manhattan. For upcoming shows please click on
Schedule of Shows. She now lives in Ontario with
her husband, David a Russian history professor and their children, Esmée and Alexander. Marie always welcomes questions from visitors to her website and is also
happy to provide full written appraisals.
